Hello!
I’m Marisol Rives.

I help children build the strong foundations they need to become confident, capable learners.

With over 8 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist and 10 years in early childhood education, I combine clinical expertise with a deep understanding of how young children grow and thrive. I’m also bilingual (English and Spanish) and experienced in supporting bilingual children through both assessment and therapy.

As a mom of two young children, I understand the real-life questions and concerns that come with parenting. I see each child as a unique individual and tailor my approach to support their growth in a way that feels meaningful and effective.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to support your child’s journey.

My Approach

With advanced training in literacy, executive functioning, and speech and language, I take a comprehensive, whole-child approach to every session. My work goes beyond surface-level skills—I focus on understanding how each child processes language and information, allowing me to identify the root of what may be impacting their progress.

This depth of expertise allows me to support underlying challenges such as language processing, attention, and essential communication skills. By targeting these core areas, I help children make meaningful, lasting progress in reading, learning, and overall confidence.

My Professional Education Background

  • Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, 2018

  • Master Preparatory Certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorder, 2016

  • Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Studies, 2013

I have completed training in Visualizing and Verbalizing®, Seeing Stars®, and LiPS®. This specialized coursework informs my assessment process by helping me evaluate a child’s sensory-cognitive processing and how it impacts their reading development and acquisition skills.

I have completed Modules 1 and 2 of RAVE-O (Retrieval, Automaticity, Vocabulary, Engagement–Orthography), a comprehensive reading program that integrates strategic instruction across key components of literacy development. This training supports my work with students in grades 1–5 by strengthening reading fluency, vocabulary, and overall language comprehension.

Seeds of Learning

I integrate the Seeds of Learning® SEFF  approach into my therapy practice, focusing on building underlying cognitive and executive function skills to support student growth.

I’ve completed Level 1 and Level 2 sensory training for speech-language pathologists, which has deepened my understanding of regulation and sensory processing. This advanced training enhances my ability to assess and treat children with a more comprehensive, individualized approach.
